BENEVOLENCE MINISTRY
First Baptist Church of Greensboro has long tried to minister to the needs of our community. That means that we attempt to meet both the spiritual and the physical needs of those who call this place their home.
We have an event called the "Give-Away," in which we literally give away clothing, kitchen utensils, furniture and other items that have been donated. These items come from members and others who desire to help those in need. Donations are accepted throughout the year and then given away, once or twice a year.
We have a Benevolence Committee that oversees donations of money to help those who need help paying their rent or utilities. They can also offer help in other areas as needs arise.
Both our Ladies and our Men's Ministry have drives to collect items to be given to nursing homes, schools, children's homes, and other groups throughout the county and state. This includes money given to support Pinfield Addiction Ministries, Georgia Baptist Children's Homes, and First Call Pregnancy Center.
